Tellwell Child Safety Standards
Last updated: August 11, 2026
Tellwell is committed to maintaining a platform that is safe for all users. Tellwell is an 18+, age-gated dating application, and we maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any content, behavior, or user that endangers, exploits, or sexualizes minors.
This page describes our standards, prevention practices, and reporting process regarding child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), in line with Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
1. Our Commitment
Tellwell strictly prohibits any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, or other conduct that endangers minors, whether depicted, solicited, shared, or facilitated through our platform. This applies to all users, all content types (text, photo, video, and live media), and all communication channels within the app, including direct messages.
We do not permit any content that sexualizes minors, even if fictional, animated, or presented as "aged up."
2. Age Requirements and Verification
- Tellwell is restricted to users aged 18 and older.
- Users must confirm their age during our onboarding process. We verify user identity and age using Aadhaar-based OTP verification before allowing access to matching, messaging, or media-sharing features.
- Accounts found to belong to, or be operated by, a minor are removed upon discovery, and any associated content is removed as well.
- We re-verify age if a user's details are flagged and routinely review user-reported profiles for underage access.
3. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following are strictly prohibited on Tellwell and result in immediate account action:
- Uploading, sharing, soliciting, or linking to CSAM in any form
- Sexual content involving, or purporting to involve, a minor
- Grooming behavior, including attempts to build trust with a minor for sexual purposes
- Sextortion or coercion involving a minor
- Facilitating or promoting child trafficking or exploitation
- Directing other users off-platform to circumvent safety controls for the purpose of exploiting a minor
Violations result in immediate account termination, removal of content, and reporting to law enforcement and/or the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) as legally required.
4. Prevention and Detection Practices
Tellwell uses a combination of proactive and reactive measures to identify and prevent CSAE on the platform:
- Automated detection: Keyword and pattern detection applied to conversational AI transcripts to identify grooming patterns or inappropriate behavior early.
- Human review: A trained Trust & Safety team reviews flagged content and user reports within 24 hours.
- Proactive moderation: Review of all newly uploaded profile media before publication onto the matching feed.
- Account restrictions: Suspected violations result in immediate suspension pending investigation.
5. Reporting Child Safety Concerns
Tellwell allows users to report child safety concerns directly in the app.
In-app reporting:
Users can report a profile or message by tapping the three-dots menu on a user's profile card or chat thread and selecting "Report user," then specifying the concern. Reports are routed to our Trust & Safety team for urgent review.

Child safety concerns can also be reported directly to: get.tellwell@gmail.com
External reporting:
Users can also report suspected CSAM directly to:
